Ahoy, Mary!
I'm so excited to hear you'll be joining Captain Mickey and his crew for your very first cruise. My first cruise was onboard a Disney ship, and I've been hooked ever since! From the moment you step aboard, you'll be surrounded with Disney magic.
I've had a lot of questions lately about what to wear to dinner onboard! Packing for a cruise vacation can be tricky, and I'm happy to help you prepare. You certainly don't wait to over-pack, because you'll want to save room for some fun souvenirs!
For the three-night Bahamian Cruise on the
Disney Dream, dinner attire each night is "cruise casual". Cruise casual means no swimwear, no tank tops and I suggest no casual shorts. (Think collared golf shirts, khakis, sundresses, casual slacks and tops) Of course, you're always welcome to dress up a bit and take advantage of the fabulous Disney Cruise Line photographers. They'll be in the lobby atrium each night, set up for both casual and formal photos. It's a great time to capture some wonderful family memories! Arrgh, Matey...don't forget to pack your favorite pirate gear for night two of your cruise. You'll want to dress in your swashbuckling best for the
Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party!
If you have any plans to eat at the adults-only restaurants, Palo or Remy, remember that they are considered more formal, and so is the dress code.
I hope this helps with your planning! I'm wishing you a wonderful first cruise aboard the Disney Dream. May you make memories that last a lifetime! - Diane W.
