Hi! I'm finding conflicting information on whether the EPCOT Character Spot is a Tier 1 or Tier 2 fast pass+ selection. Can you please clarify? I'm debating on going there first at Rope Drop, but I'm unsure how busy it is at park open. Thanks!

    Hi Monica,

The reason why you’re finding conflicting information about the FastPass+ “Tier” for Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot is because it recently changed from a Tier 2 selection to a Tier 1 selection. This means that it is now in the same category as other extremely popular attractions such as Test Track and Frozen Ever After, which means that you’ll need to make tough choices when it comes to making your family’s FastPass+ selections for your upcoming vacation.

Because this attraction has been “re-categorized”, so to speak, it’s hard for me to say how busy this experience will be the moment Epcot opens for the day. It’s safe to say that, if you plan to meet Mickey and his friends first thing after the Park opens, your wait should be relatively short.

Don’t forget, if Meeting Baymax at Hiro's Workshop or Meeting Joy & Sadness at Headquarters is a priority for anyone in your party, don’t forget that those meet & greets aren’t included as part of your FastPass+ selection, should you choose to make one for this attraction. If you’re planning to meet them during your day at Epcot, I highly recommend visiting them first and then heading across the way to meet your other Disney pals.

I hope my answer helps you better plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
