What's this, Mayra? You're on your way to
Oogie Boogie Bash for the first time?! Get ready for a ghoulishly good time at my most favorite after-hours party in California Adventure. My son and I had so much fun last year dressed as Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. We especially loved the exclusive Frightfully Fun Parade featuring the real Jack and Sally!
The
Frightfully Fun Parade is scheduled for 7:45pm and 10pm on party nights and does have preferred seating available if you book the
Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party, for an additional fee. In addition to reserved seating for the parade, you'll enjoy delectable treats, beverages and a collectible enamel pin. Advanced reservations are highly recommended and can be made on the
Disneyland website.
However, standby viewing areas are plentiful along the parade route which travels through
Paradise Gardens Park and down
Buena Vista Street. My son and I easily found a spot for the Frightfully Fun Parade about 15-20 minutes before start time near
Ariel's Undersea Adventure. It was perfect! Then, immediately after the parade was over, we headed directly to
Villains Grove and bypassed some of the crowds this way! My son and I were so enchanted by the hauntingly beautiful Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail - definitely a highlight and something to prioritize, if you can.
