Hello Im finally making a Birhday trip happen with my DD who is 22 and my mom. We are doing a long weekend in Dec over my bday. Two things I really want to do is Afternoon tea at GF and a sleigh ride. Any idea if either will be available?

Hello Angie and thanks for returning to planDisney.

How delightful it is to hEAR that your dear mom, beautiful daughter, and you are finally going to enjoy a practically perfect in every way birthday weekend this coming December at Walt Disney World Resort.  What a wonderfully magical celebration it's sure to be with 3 generations of your family!

The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are simply enchanting!  And although at this time as we continue Returning to a World of Magic at Walt Disney World Resort, Holiday Sleigh Rides do appEAR to be placed on a pause.  I would highly encourage you to keep checking back for current availability for the Holiday Sleigh Rides, and also keep a keen EAR on the Disney Parks Blog for any seasonal updates.

As the current UK planDisney Panelist, I can totally relate to wanting to partake in Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  After all, as the Mad Hatter says "It's always tea time!"
Again, for the moment even though Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room still is paused for the meantime, you never just know when a little Disney magic is going to happen and it might possibly open up again in time for your December weekend visit.

Angie, I understand this isn't the news you were hoping to hEAR, but I do have a couple of alternative dining suggestions that you may wish to consider -

     - The Grand Floridian Cafe serves delicious food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Plus, I counted up to 8 different blends of tea on the Twinnings of London Tea Menu for you to try.  As a true Brit, my personal selection would be the traditional Golden Tipped English Breakfast Tea

     - The Enchanted Rose is a sophisticated lounge bar that is inspired by Disney's Beauty and the Beast.  The tale as old as time is echoed in the decor and lounge bar menu.  Even though Twinnings of London Tea is available on the menu, I feel sure that even Mrs Potts would be tempted to try one of the many Featured Cocktails

I hope that I've been able to provide a little pixie-dusted inspiration today Angie.  If you should have any further questions, then please do pop back anytime to planDisney.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
