Kaltxi, Dan! Welcome back to planDisney.
Pandora: The World of Avatar is simply breathtaking. When you visit
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you'll have the opportunity to leave Earth and travel to the
Valley of Mo'ara on Pandora, where you will see the most beautiful bioluminescent flora and fauna and experience incredible tastes, sights, and sounds. As a fellow fan of immersive experiences, I can tell you it's one of my very favorite places at Walt Disney World Resort.
The Cast Members on Pandora speak English and may share some Na'vi phrases with you. As guides with Alpha Centauri Expeditions, they serve as liaisons between the visitors from Earth and the Na'vi people. Mo'ara means "a place to gather" in Na'vi, their focus is on hospitality and making Guests from Florida feel at home, so they speak English and
some Na'vi. The Cast Members on Pandora do know some Na'vi, so if you do too, they would welcome a conversation. Just be kind if you end up being the Na'vi language expert - they may still be learning the language of their host planet.
Dan, there are many fascinating opportunities to immerse yourself in the history of Pandora. The
Visit Pandora website is a great place to start, and the Disney Parks Blog has done several articles on Pandora: The World of Avatar. You may be especially interested in
this profile of Paul Frommer, who has a special "link" (see what I did there?) to the Avatar movies.
I also recommend taking time to really explore the land, which is rich in detail. The queues for both
Na'vi River Journey and
Avatar Flight of Passage are mesmerizing and filled with opportunities to learn about Pandora. If you dine at
Satu'li Canteen (and I highly recommend you do), take a look at the walls for some wonderful artifacts. As in many Disney lands, be sure to look up, down, and all around for details.
Enjoy your expedition to Pandora, Dan! Sivako!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
