Hello Maria!
Welcome back to planDisney! The Meeting/Convention Theme Park ticket options are so helpful to guests who are lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World Resort for work. I don't know if I could sit still during these meetings knowing that I will be visiting the Parks in a few hours!
Disney Genie+ can be purchased for any guest who has valid admission to the Parks on the day you are interested.
Theme park reservations are also needed for guests with non-date-based tickets. Your single-day theme park tickets and convention tickets are most likely date-based as you have to select the dates you wish to use them at the time of purchase. If you didn't do that then make sure that your theme park reservations are set up. Now, as for booking Lightning Lanes, this is where things will get tricky. Starting at 7 am, Lightning Lane return times can be booked for any guest that has Disney Genie+, however, the return times for you and your daughter who has the 1 pm tickets must be for 1 pm or after. The system may not show only 1 pm ticket options for you and your daughter so be mindful when making your Party for each Lightning Lane. Do not include yourself or your daughter for any morning Lightning Lanes. If you accidentally book the wrong time know that you can modify the times to what is next available. Sometimes you will find that you have to wait a bit before you see the time slots you want. Lightning Lane times are limited in number and as earlier time slots are taken more later times will appear. Some attractions like
Slinky Dog Dash in Disney's Hollywood Studios will book up quickly and show the "after 1 pm" return time shortly after opening.
My husband did a pool morning with the kids a few weeks ago with an afternoon Park day. While lounging by the pool he refreshed the
My Disney Experience App until he found the time slots he wanted and booked a full afternoon of Lightning Lane Reservations. When he and the kids arrived they just walked onto one ride after another. This may be a good strategy for your family so that you can enjoy things together! Your all-day ticket holders can book an afternoon of Lightning Lanes where the 1 pm ticket holders can join in with them. The morning group can just wait in standby queues, enjoy shows, or ride attractions that tend to have lower wait times such as Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Star Tours- The Adventures Continue, Journey Into Imagination With Figment, and Feathered Friends in Flight! You can only book a Lightning Lane for an attraction once so if the morning group books one for Peter Pan's Flight then they won't be able to book it again for the rest of the day. You and your daughter, however, can book it for yourselves for after 1 pm.
It can be a bit confusing but it's important to plan your strategy. If your full-day ticket holders are looking for a day of rides and thrills while you and your daughter are looking to be more leisurely and "go with the flow" then do the opposite of what I said. Book Lightning Lanes for the morning for the full-day group and then relax in the afternoon. In this situation, maybe consider not purchasing Disney Genie+ for you and your daughter. It is my opinion that if you don't have a goal of booking at least three Disney Genie+ attractions then don't buy it.
I hope this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to let me know!
Happy Planning!
