Disney Military Salute is a wonderful offer that allows eligible service members to purchase up to six tickets for themselves, family members, and friends. As long as your friend has not already purchased six tickets, they are still eligible to purchase more until they reach that max limit. However, they do have to be present to show a valid military ID at a Walt Disney World ticket window on the first use of each ticket. If they will not join you on your vacation, the Military Salute tickets purchased at a local base ticket office unfortunately will not be an option for you.
While I know this isn’t the pixie-dusted news you were hoping for, the good news is that there are two options that may still work. If your friend will be taking a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort before your visit, they can purchase the Disney Military Salute tickets at the
Shades of Green ticket office. These tickets are pre-activated, so they can give you one of those tickets and you would not need them to travel with you and show an ID. If this isn’t possible, another option is that many base ticket offices sell discounted tickets that are separate from the Disney Military Salute tickets. These are 1- to 10-day tickets that are not as deeply discounted as the Military Salute tickets, but they do not need to be activated on arrival to Walt Disney World.
