Hi Jessica,
My family and I just returned from a trip to Walt Disney World on which we spent a lot of time at the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. This is an amazing festival which makes Epcot even more beautiful than it already is. The good news is, you do not need a separate ticket - you just need your theme park admission. This festival continues until May 18 this year. Let me share with you some of my family's favorite activities from this year's festival.
As you walk through Epcot, be on the lookout for amazing topiary displays all around. These whimsical and gorgeous displays really add to the atmosphere at Epcot. Be sure to check out the Outdoor Kitchens, which offer small plates of delicious treats. Our favorite Outdoor Kitchen was Fleur de Lys, which is located in the France pavilion and offers an amazing gnocchi dish. You could wander from one Outdoor Kitchen to the next and make a meal of trying the small plates. A perennial favorite at the festival is Tinker Bell's Butterfly House. In this amazing area, multitudes of butterflies flit around. I really enjoyed the fairy houses included in this area this year. Look around for these adorable houses made of "found" objects such as roller skates. I always enjoy visiting the Festival Center, which includes not only areas to shop and grab a quick bite to eat, but also offers presentations by celebrities in the field of gardening, as well as Disney horticulturists. Finally, be sure to check out who is playing at the
Flower Power Concert Series during your visit. These shows play three times per night.
I hope that you have a wonderful time exploring the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, Jessica!
