Greetings, Becky, and on behalf of all of us at planDisney, please accept our most heartfelt congratulations for your 50th wedding anniversary! What a beautiful milestone to celebrate. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to help you honor your Happily Ever After at Disneyland Resort!
I have a few suggestions for you, across a range of different options that you might consider as you plan your family's upcoming visit. First, capturing your magical memories is easy with
Disney PhotoPass Service. Disney PhotoPass photographers are all over the Disneyland Resort (usually wearing a signature vest) and will be happy to take your family's photos in front of iconic Disneyland sights, in the best lighting and angles for the perfect photo! You can find their locations in the
official Disneyland mobile app, using the map feature and toggle to "PhotoPass." Some of my favorites are along the Pixar Pier Bridge and Route 66 in Disney California Adventure Park, and over in Disneyland Park I love any shot along Main Street, U.S.A., and of course in front of the majestic Sleeping Beauty Castle! Becky, as long as one person in your travel party has purchased
Disney Genie+ Service for the day, your Disney PhotoPass photos will be included! Just have that person be in charge of linking the PhotoPass photos to their MyDisney account. The Disney PhotoPass photographers will be happy to help you with this process! You could also opt to purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Day if you're not planning to use Disney Genie+ Service.
Becky, as for a signature dining location, I have two recommendations that my family typically chooses when we are celebrating something special. If you'd like to stay within the theme parks, I recommend
Carthay Circle Restaurant, located in Disney California Adventure Park in the Buena Vista Street area. This restaurant honors the theater that first premiered Walt Disney's original feature-length animated film,
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937. With art-deco theming and classic California fare, Carthay Circle Restaurant celebrates the golden age of Hollywood filmmaking. I love browsing all the artwork and historical references to Walt Disney's contributions to cinema.
My second recommendation is the award-winning
Napa Rose, located in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The food and wine menus are second to none, and the service is absolutely impeccable! You may even be able to request a chef's tasting menu specifically tailored for your group. It's the perfect place to celebrate your family's special occasions, especially one as magical as your golden anniversary!
For both restaurants, Becky, I highly encourage making your
dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of your arrival date. You'll find the best availability, the earlier you make your reservation. You can do this online using the search tool or within the Disneyland mobile app, and both systems will allow you to enter a note with any special requests. This is where I would suggest communicating with the dining team about your special celebration so they can help make your experience as magical as ever!
I hope this has been helpful, Becky, and I wish you a truly spectacular visit. If we can help with anything else in the meantime, please come back and visit
planDisney again with any questions.
Magically yours,
Tishra
