Welcome, Jan!
First of all, congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time, made even more magical by planning the festivities with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings! Your special day will be touched by pixie dust with exceptional service, extraordinary details, and, of course, a dreamy location.
I was so excited to hear about the new ceremony venues! The three new locations are all in Disneyland Park itself, and the best news? You can visit these locations on any day you are in the park, including all of your future visits! Can you imagine being able to relive that special moment any time and with future generations? How special! While the venues won't be set up for a ceremony, you can easily explore them and envision your magical moment during your visit next week. Let's take a look at the options together.
- Magnolia Park Gazebo: A stunning location right in front of Tiana's Palace in New Orleans Square. During your visit next week, plan to stop in for a meal here to check it out! Of course, I highly recommend one of Tiana's famous beignets!
- Magnolia Park Terrace: Just a few steps from Tiana's Palace, you will find Magnolia Park Terrace. This venue is located along the beautiful brick perimeter of the Haunted Mansion, in the same architectural style as this fan-favorite attraction, which peeks out above the wall and makes a magical, macabre backdrop for your ceremony! This is the perfect location if you'd like to add some drama to your event!
- Fantasy Faire Garden: While this venue is the most intimate, with up to 12 Guests (including the couple), it is also, perhaps, the most classic and iconic choice with Sleeping Beauty Castle as your backdrop. When you approach the castle and enter the semi-circle just in front of the drawbridge, you will find a path off to your left. Follow the path to discover this hidden spot next to the free-standing turret, nestled amongst the trees and flowers.
While I would recommend reaching out directly to Disney Fairy Tale Weddings to discuss specific options around ceremony start times, I can tell you that opening hours for Disneyland Park can fluctuate throughout the year, but, typically, you will see it open around 8:00 AM. Of course, this may be subject to change, and there may be certain times of the year, say the winter months, when it may shift slightly later. The Disneyland Resort will publish park hours about six weeks ahead of time, so you can check the calendar periodically to keep track. I bet the team at Disney Fairy Tale Weddings has a bit more insight here to help you, considering you are likely planning your event much further down the line than six weeks!
Since Southern California is typically a dry climate with minimal humidity, you'll find that most mornings will have chilly to moderate temperatures year-round. Generally, you could see as low as 40s in the Winter, 50s in the Spring, 60s in the Summer, and 50s in the Fall. Even June experiences a "June Gloom", keeping temperatures relatively low despite it being a traditionally summer season.
Jan, I hope this has been helpful! I wish you a beautiful wedding and a magical visit next week!
Tara
