I’m so excited for the new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom! I am wondering about the best place to watch- would the reserved area for the dessert parties offer a good view of the parade? Also, will the parade still be shown on non-party nights in Sept?

    Hello,

Thanks for swinging by planDisney. Erin, I think I might be just as excited about this new parade as you are. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned about the best viewing locations and more.

Magic Kingdom Park has always been a special place. Cinderella Castle is the backdrop and the memories that I have accrued there are irreplaceable. Memories of the other night time parades of yesteryear with my own parents, and even the first of my three children dancing in my head when thinking about watching this new parade. Disney Starlight has been long awaited and fans everywhere are lining up to see it. If you are looking for one of the greatest locations for both Happily Ever After and the new night time parade Disney Starlight, I would actually recommend my favorite location near Casey’s Corner at the end of Main Street USA. There are always great photo opportunities in this area because of the background. It’s also perfect if you have a hankering for corn dog nuggets, which I may be guilty of. The Pre and Post Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties are wonderful because of the snacks and the special viewing locations for Happily Ever After. These locations may give you a partial view of the parade but are not guaranteed. The times of the parade during your stay have also not been confirmed as of yet, and as your trip comes nearer those showtimes will be updated. These showtimes are also subject to change. One thing we do know is Disney Starlight will not be available on party nights according to the website.

The one thing that I know will be amazing is that last float featuring so many of the Disney pals we know and love. But they will be in tow from a new character that will be bringing us years of enjoyment. Whimsy is a character that will keep you smiling each time you see him. And when this night time show of light ends be sure to look for our friend Jiminy Cricket to say good night to us all. Keep an eye out for those dates to update on the My Disney Experience App and you should be able to start to plan your evening at the Magic Kingdom

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
