Hi there, Elaine! Thanks for dropping by planDisney with such a fabulous question!
Like you, I was SO excited to hear that
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour would be returning to
Magic Kingdom Park! While I have not yet had the pleasure of taking this tour, it's certainly on my
Walt Disney World Resort bucket list! I mean, how fun to be able to take a peek behind the curtain to see how the fabulous Cast Members deliver that magical Disney experience we know and love. If you're anything like me, I bet you're also fascinated by the stories of the Utilidor, the system of service tunnels located underneath Magic Kingdom Park, and now you're going to get a chance to tour them! How cool is that?!
So, let's get you booked and on your way to enjoy the fabulous Keys to the Kingdom tour! You are absolutely correct that reservations for this tour open up 60 days in advance on the Walt Disney World website. You can start booking bright and early at 6 a.m., so grab your favorite Disney mug, and make sure you're all fueled up with a morning cup of coffee!
A
theme park ticket is required for the date you plan to attend Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour, but you do not have to purchase them before booking your tour. However, keep in mind that, as you mentioned, you will still need to make a
theme park reservation at Magic Kingdom Park for the day of your tour. Since availability may be limited, I would highly recommend securing your tickets and theme park reservation first, just in case Magic Kingdom is already at capacity for that date. I would hate for you to book your tour and then not be able to get the Theme Park Reservation you need to attend.
Elaine, I am so excited for you to enjoy this incredible tour! I bet you're going to see Walt Disney World in a whole new light, so after your tour, pick up your favorite snack (you can't beat a
DOLE Whip if you ask me), and grab a seat on a bench to look around and take it all in!
Have a magical time!
Diana
