I'm SO excited for our first ever winter Disney trip however I'm not sure what to expect weather wise. I've checked the avg weather temps but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed we avoid the bitter cold! If not, are any of the rides or wait areas heated?

Stacy, who wouldn't be excited about zooming through space, sailing with pirates, flying on elephants, and meeting Disney royalty?

No worries! As a former resident of Florida, I can verify that this state earns the right to the name the Sunshine State most days of the year. Bitter cold visits Walt Disney World less frequently than Cinderella's stepsisters display kindness. Even if a cold snap hits, low temperatures will not last long. Be assured, however, that many rides, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story Mania, Test Track and more, have indoor queues. Multiple attractions are enclosed, climate controlled, and always comfortable.

A Jersey family probably won't even notice what passes for winter weather in central Florida. In fact, pack your swimsuits because the resort pools are heated and on a sunny day your kids might want to jump in.
Avoid Splash Mountain on chilly days and you'll be fine.
