HI! I'm so excited. My family and I are going to Disney at the end of April, I have 3 kids girl 8 and 2 boys 6 & 5. First time so what tips and tricks can you tell me about!

Hello Erin!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World family vacation and yes, you should be really excited.
Visiting at the end of April is a great decision as you should be able to experience great weather, crowds and special events.

First tip: do not expect to experience in this first trip all that Disney has to offer.  There is a huge selection of activities and interactions to experience while at Disney.
Spend some time on Disney´s web site to get familiar with the resorts, parks, attractions and restaurants.  This may require some time, but the effort is worth it.  Your family will know what activities are more to their likening and all height and age requirements.

Second tip: arrive early at the parks.  Opening parks allows guest unique experiences and one or two hours of really low crowds.  I love the weather and calm feeling I get to experience when we walk the parks early in the morning.  My family also loves to experience the parks late at night, when lights and sounds take over the parks.

Third tip: resort location can make a big difference - if budget allows it.  Staying at Deluxe Resorts allow guest to travel to one or two of Disney´s main parks in a really short time, either by Monorail, boat or a short 15 to 20 minute walk (my favorite).

Get ready to relax and enjoy a unique and special Disney family vacation.  When at the parks let Disney´s magic take over and go with the flow.
