Hi! I'm excited to be debating between booking either the Treasure or newest Destiny for a cruise next summer. My hesitancy with the Destiny is I have two princess loving girls (5&7), are there plans for a Royal Hall meet and greet on the Destiny?

    Ahoy there, Angelina!

Welcome to planDisney, where the hardest decision is choosing between pixie-dusted perfection and even more pixie-dusted perfection! And when it comes to the Treasure or the all-new Destiny, let’s just say—either way, your vacation dreams are destined (see what I did there?) to come true!

Now let’s talk princesses, tiaras, and happily-ever-afters! While the Destiny hasn’t made her grand debut just yet, and some details are still under wraps tighter than Cinderella’s glass slipper at midnight, we do know that the Royal Gathering has been a fan-favorite on every Disney ship so far—including the Wish and Treasure. So while it hasn’t officially been announced for the Destiny, I’d say there’s a strong chance it’ll be part of the magic. That being said, character appearances—including Disney Princesses—are always subject to change and may vary by sailing. Sometimes we’re surprised by an appearance from Tiana, and other times we’ve spotted Mulan wielding her warrior-worthy charm!

And speaking of princess magic, if your royal little ones love the idea of a full fairy tale transformation, you may also want to keep an eye out for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices work their makeover magic! It’s usually offered fleetwide, and we’ll have more details as the Destiny’s enchantments are revealed.

Now, I totally get where you're coming from—choosing between these two ships is like choosing between Moana’s ocean adventures and Rapunzel’s lantern-lit dreams. But here's a bit of my own personal experience to help steer your decision: my crew recently sailed on the Treasure, and it truly lives up to its name. We loved the immersive theming, the longer 7-night itineraries, and the chance to visit unique ports we don’t get to as often. As someone who’s cruised multiple times on the Wish, I think the Treasure strikes a great balance between that same stunning elegance and a few new surprises.

In the end, you can't go wrong—one ship is a treasure, and the other is destiny. I’d recommend considering the itinerary and what kind of magical memories you're hoping to create. No matter which one you choose, your little princesses are going to feel like they’ve stepped right into their own storybook!

Sea ya real soon with a splash of April fun and a boatload of Disney magic,
    Dustin
