Hi, I'm excited! We are bringing our 1.8 yo baby to the park, so I'm looking for insights, like height minimum to ride, best rides for little boys, where to eat, bring a stroller or not? Basically all the best tips for our first Disney vacation as parents.

Hi Gaby! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am thrilled that you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one this week! You are going to have the BEST time as you watch his face light up as he experiences everything for the first time. Trust me, you will want to have your camera ready to catch these special moments. You will cherish them for years to come!

First, I definitely recommend using a stroller during your visit! Whether you bring one with you from home, or rent one at the theme parks, you will appreciate having a stroller for your little one's tired little legs. I usually bring our stroller from home so I can store all the items that we have to take with us in the compartment below the stroller. Diapers, wipes, sunscreen, changes of clothes, snacks, etc... it is a lot! Speaking of essential items, make sure to visit the Baby Care Centers. There is one located in each of the theme parks and they have high chairs, changing tables, nursing rooms, a resting area, and even some essential items for sale (just in case you left anything at home). They are wonderful!

There are a lot of rides without height requirements that will be perfect for your little one! You can see the whole list of attractions without height requirements at the link I included above. They are all attractions that will be perfect for the whole family... my kids even loved them when they were infants! Some of my son's favorites at that age were Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Toy Story Mania!, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. But honestly, he enjoyed all the rides at that age!

When it comes to dining, my kids are very picky, so we often found ourselves letting them snack throughout the day, then my husband and I would enjoy a meal at a Table-Service dining location while our kids snacked on a Mickey-shaped pretzel or hot dog. One meal experience that we all enjoyed when our kids were toddlers was Character Dining. You will want to make dining reservations for these locations in advance, but they are worth it and SO much fun! Restaurants may be fully booked since your trip is so close but keep checking because last-minute cancellations do pop up!

I hope this helps and that you have the best vacation, Gaby! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
