Welcome Home, James! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney - we're so glad you're here! I'm delighted to hear that you're using your Disney Vacation Club membership for a getaway this August, and I'll be happy to help with your question today.

Visiting Walt Disney World Resort with teenagers is so much fun! If you've been bringing your kids since they were tiny Mouseketeers, it's really special to experience everything together through all of their different ages and stages. As our kids got older, we started giving them some more independence to explore on their own - they have loved creating sister memories together over the years! Nowadays, we'll usually plan a day when they can make their own plans and conquer the parks while we enjoy a day at the pool and a leisurely dinner.

One of the best perks of Cool KIDS' SUMMER (in effect through September 8!) is free water park admission on your check-in date. I'm happy to report that your kids will be A-OK to head to either Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park without parents in tow. The minimum age to visit any Disney park is 14, so they'll be good to go! Be sure to review the "Know Before You Go" for their preferred park, including locker locations to secure any belongings.

James, a summer vacation to Walt Disney World sounds like the best idea! Wishing you a relaxing trip full of memories and magic (and snacks!). If our planDisney crew can help with any other questions before you arrive, please reach out anytime.

    Stay Magical,
    Susan
