Hi I'm a DVC member and am planning a family trip. We have 12 adults and one child I think will be 3 at the time of the reservation. I am staying in the 3 bedroom villa in bay lake. Will it be a problem with a 2-3 year old?

Chantey, I am so jealous of your reservation of a Grand Villa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort! You are going to love this resort!

There are so many benefits to staying at BLT, even more so when staying with a child who is still in a stroller: proximity to Magic Kingdom Park; additional resorts' dining options; Epcot. All of these can be accessed via the monorail even when the little one is fast asleep in his or her stroller. That benefit alone will make you fall in love with Bay Lake Tower!

Regarding the Villa, don't worry about it being appropriate for a toddler. Do keep in mind that the bathroom doors don't lock, though, but they are heavy, barn-door style, which are probably too heavy for the little one to slide open. We heavily emphasized "if the door is closed, somebody is in there!"

The pool area will be a great place for the littlest family member to splash around and relax, while the adults can still enjoy the pool, slide, hot tub and an adult cocktail, poolside. Check out Community Hall as soon as you can during your stay. There are wonderful kids' activities which vary daily, including really fun craft activities which are perfect for when you are ready for a little bit of hands-on downtime. Don't forget that Disney Vacation Club Members can borrow complimentary Disney DVDs for use in your Villa; this is a great way to wind down close to bedtime, with a favorite (or new) Disney classic!

Be SURE to head to the Top of the World Lounge (yes, even with the little one) for a spectacular view of Wishes. The decor is, fittingly, contemporary and cool, yet the Cast Members there are so welcoming to families. Plan on having an appetizer and a drink at this location at least once, since the Lounge is available exclusively to DVC Members staying on points at BLT.

Have a wonderful vacation! I'm sure you'll immediately fall in love with Bay Lake Tower! Send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
