Hello! I'm a DVC member and we're heading to WDW early November. Lots of refurbishments happening. Which resort would you choose to avoid heavy duty refurbishment. Thanks!

Hi Shaun, welcome home and welcome back to planDisney! Our family loves visiting Walt Disney World in the Fall. The International Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT is in full swing and the weather starts getting cooler. Now, let’s talk about which Disney Vacation Club Resorts might be best for you this November!

Shaun, you’re correct that there are some refurbishments going on. At some DVC Resorts like Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, room refurbishments will be underway in November with upgrades like the popular Murphy beds coming to the Resort. Other DVC Resorts like the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are making improvements to public areas. These may be more minor inconveniences where construction activity will occur during the daytime.

My personal favorite DVC Resort (and one of my own Home Resorts) is Disney’s Riviera Resort. My family loves the French and Italian theming and the dining options. There’s no better way to start the day than a banana bread and an almond cold brew from Le Petit Café! The best part of all? Being situated on the Skyliner for easy transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Here’s a bonus tip! When booking a DVC villa, the DVC website will inform you below each available DVC Resort of any ongoing refurbishments that may occur during your visit. That way you’ll be sure you’re picking the best Resort for your trip.

Shaun, I hope this information is helpful as you plan your upcoming Fall trip. If you have any further questions about your DVC membership or Disney vacation planning, feel free to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
