Hi...I'm doing the WDW 1/2 on the12th. I'm staying off site in Kissimmee about 10-12 minutes down Oceola Parkway...how early should I leave to get to the starting line? I'm nervous about getting caught in traffic. Thanks

    Hi David!

Well, I am one who likes to get to the races REALLY early.  When I drive in from a non-Disney resort, I plan to be on Disney property by 3:15 a.m.  The traffic really starts to pick up between 3:30 and 3:45.  With the weather being warmer this weekend, it will be a pleasant morning.  There is a DJ at the starting area playing music and I love having that extra time to get stretched and ready.

There will be an "Official Race Program" booklet at the expo for you with great driving instructions.  You can also download this booklet from the Disney World Marathon website.  Just click on the "RUNNER INFO" tab, and then "Official Race Program".

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Have a great race!!!
