I'm doing the disney cruise August 11-15 with my six year old. We arrive in Orlando Aug 10 at 1pm. I'm wondering if it is worth buying a one day pass to the Magic Kingdom to do rides, the parade, and fireworks for the evening of the 10? Suggestions? thx

    Ahoy Erin!
It just a few days you will be surrounded by the magic, excitement, and wonder of Disney!  Magic Kingdom is open until 11:00 PM on Saturday, August 10th so arriving mid-day still gives you and your son plenty of time to experience this park.  I say go for it because it will be the perfect start to your Disney vacation!  You will want to hit New Fantasyland and utilize Disney's Fast Pass system to maximize your time.  I recommend waiting on character experiences because you will see many of your favorites on the ship with much less waiting time.  The night time parade is offered at 9:00 and 11:00 PM so you have a choice on which one to watch.  Wishes is at 10:00 PM, but you will want to be in your spot no later than 9:30.
I hope this helps, Erin!  Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!
Have a magical day and bon voyage!
