Hi there, Leslie, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you’re hEAR, and I can’t wait for your upcoming visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth! It will be here before you know it.
You’re going to love experiencing the Disneyland Resort theme parks through the eyes of your child! Since you’re traveling with your 4-year-old, I think one day per park should be perfectly fine, unless you decide to pop back in to your child’s favorite park for the third day. That way, you could focus on your little Mouseketeer’s top
attractions and treats for the grand finale day!
Or, If you happen to be staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, you could also choose to spend the third day enjoying the pools, along with a special
Character Dining experience, too! Choose between
Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel,
Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast or Brunch at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, or
Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast or Brunch Buffet at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Or, for the ultimate Disney Princess experience, check out
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, featuring a 3-course meal and unforgettable interactions with favorite Disney Princesses!
The
Stroller Rentals at Disneyland Resort are the perfect size for your 4-year-old. I checked with a Cast Member who told me that the single, jogging-style strollers have a recommended maximum capacity of 50 pounds, so you should be just fine. You can find Stroller Rentals located to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, adjacent to the Kennel.
To give you an idea of attractions that are ideal for your 4-year-old, here's a list of my son's favorites: At Disneyland Park, my 3-year-old loves taking a ride on the Disneyland Railroad, Autopia, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Mad Tea Party, Mickey's Toontown, “it’s a small world,” and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. In Disney California Adventure Park, he can’t get enough of Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Toy Story Midway Mania! and Golden Zephyr. Don’t forget about fun experiences like Turtle Talk with Crush and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, which are both perfect for this age. My toddler also adores
Disney Junior Dance Party!, where he can dance along with his favorite Disney Junior Characters.
I hope this helps, Leslie. Here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day, so you can start mapping out the magic.
See ya’ real soon!
