Hi Samantha! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
Your visit is almost here! You must be excited. What do you have planned for the day? Take a peek at the
Daily Events Calendar for a current list of parades, fireworks, entertainment, and more schedules. While these details can change without notice, it will help you pick your must-do activities and plan your day around them! And of course, planning your park outfit is a significant part of your planning. I understand this so well. I want to be comfortable, I want to look cute with my family in Disney PhotoPass pictures, and I usually want to be dressed on theme for the day. So, let's see if we can't get to the bottom of your outfit concerns.
Park Rules and Regulations have a section devoted to
Attire Policies, which you can view to help determine whether your chosen park attire is appropriate. Some parts of the policy relate to costumes and others relate to safety. The policy also addresses attire that might be objectionable or inappropriate, detracting from other Guests' experiences. Disneyland Resort reserves the right to deny admission to anyone they might deem to be dressed inappropriately. That does mean that Guests can be turned away, which of course isn't what you're hoping for on your park day.
I think you're probably just fine, but there's no way for me to say for certain since I can't see the outfit and it's the job of Cast Members to make that call in person. I wear well-fitting denim shorts to the parks regularly if that helps. Everyone has to find what works for them within the Attire Policies. If you have real concerns about your outfit, I suggest you throw something else in your park bag to pop on just in case. That will probably give you peace of mind and a backup plan. If you intend on getting wet from a ride on Grizzly River Run at Grizzly Peak in Disney California Adventure Park, it might not be a bad idea to bring a change anyway!
I hope this helps.
Elizabeth
