I’m going to Disneyland in May and I wanted to know what are must do’s for a Star Wars fan and an Adventureland fan

Hi, Michael. Welcome back to planDisney. I see the force is strong with you, and your sense of adventure is leading you all the way to California for the magic that only Disneyland Resort can provide. Let’s get to planning!

I see that you’ll be visiting in May, which is an exciting time for those of us in the Rebel Alliance. I hope that you can purchase a ticket to Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. General admission tickets go on sale in just a few days on February 5, 2026. Another reason to jump to lightspeed and head to Disneyland Resort is the Galaxy’s Edge Timeline Expansion, which takes effect on April 29th. There is so much to celebrate!

There are several must-dos that I’d recommend. First off, Savi’s Workshop is an immersive experience that guides you through the process of constructing your own lightsaber. Check availability, make a reservation, and read through the pricing and other details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Next, download the Play Disney Parks app to access the Star Wars: Datapad, which allows you to explore Galaxy’s Edge in a whole new way. You can hack into droids, translate languages, scan barcodes to discover precious cargo, and decrypt communications from the locals. I’m sure I don’t have to tell a Jedi master like you, but Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run are both experiences that are out of this world.

I can sense a disturbance in the force. There is a new galactic beverage that all of the smugglers love. I got to try Pink Milk for the first time today, and it’s an immediate favorite, so stop by the Milk Stand to quench your thirst.

Adventureland is one of Disneyland’s most iconic spots in the park. I love that there is simultaneously a seriousness about the landscape and a prevailing sense of whimsy. What’s funnier than seeing a rhino get his point across in the end? That zebra is dead tired, the elephants always remember to wear their trunks, and the hippos are only dangerous when they wiggle their ears. Let's go have an adventure! You simply can’t miss any of the attractions: Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, and the Adventureland Treehouse are all must-dos. For a fun little side-adventure, search for the home of The Little Man of Disneyland near the entrance to Indiana Jones Adventure.

Michael, I hope traveling to a Disney Resort far, far away will be a magical memory for you. We’re happy to answer your questions here at planDisney, so keep ‘em comin’.

May the Force be with you,

    Corey
