Hello! I’m going to Disneyland for 1 day in October and was wondering if they do ear embroidery at Downtown Disney.

    Hi Dannette,

Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions. I hope your last visit was truly magical!

As you plan for your upcoming October visit, you’ll be happy to know that you can get your Mickey ears embroidered inside and outside of the park.

If you're outside the parks, head over to Small World Gifts & Sundries at the Disneyland Hotel for embroidery services. And ears aren’t the only items you can personalize! You can also have sweaters or even plush bathrobes (sold at shops inside the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) embroidered. Just remember that items must be new, unworn, with tags attached, and you’ll need your receipt if the item was purchased elsewhere in the parks or Downtown Disney. Items must have been purchased within the last 30 days.

If you’re already inside the parks, embroidery is available at several locations:
    * Mad Hatter on Main Street, U.S.A. and in Fantasyland at Disneyland
    * Kingswell Camera Shop and Seaside Souvenirs at California Adventure

Pro Tip: Want something even more unique? Consider the leather Mickey ears that can be custom hand-painted with designs like fireworks, pixie dust, or even the date of your trip! You can find these at Plaza Point in Disneyland or Julius Katz & Sons in California Adventure. There’s a book of available designs to browse through, or you can go for a minimal design with just a date. I’ve even seen Guests bring white leather ears to characters for autographs. Such a fun and personal touch!

Whatever you choose, personalized ears or apparel are a fantastic way to commemorate your visit.

I hope this information was helpful, Dannette! If you have more questions or would like additional tips for your upcoming adventure, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We're always here to add a little extra pixie dust to your vacation.

    Happy Planning!
