I'm going to Disneyland August 20-27th, however, it says that the Plaza Inn is going to be closed, is that for a refurbishment? Do you think they will open the dates? Thank you!

Hey there, Yadira Rocio. It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney. And now we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair, as we proudly present: your answer.

At the top of my planning list for any visit to the Disneyland Resort is where I'm going to eat. I love where your head is at and it sounds like we have similar priorities. I love dining at the Plaza Inn. I'll admit that the friend chicken is something that I often think about when I'm not at Disneyland. I also noticed that many dates in August were crossed out on the calendar, indicating that this location is closed. To investigate a little further, I checked the "Closed for Refurbishment" list and didn't see the Plaza Inn listed for any dates in August.

The Plaza Inn has also been a popular place for some dining package offerings. Right now, there's a Paint the Night Dining Package offering, and in the past, there have been dining packages for Halloween Screams. I tried to consult Madame Leota's crystal ball, but I was not able to get a clear view into the future. Unfortunately, it's uncertain whether this location will be closed for refurbishment or if trouble is just brewing. I recommend keeping an eye on the Hours & Events calendar for any updates to the "Closed for Refurbishment" list, as well as on the Disney Parks Blog for any exciting news and updates. You can also continue to check the Disneyland site to see if any dining reservations open up for your visit dates.

The good news is that you'll be arriving just in time for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. This is one of my favorite times to visit. I love being greeted by the giant Mickey pumpkin in Town Square, and my favorite place to peep Haul-o-ween decorations is in Radiator Screams. Be sure to stick around for the "Sha-BOO" when Route 66 lights up with neon around sunset.

While I wish I had a better answer to share with you, Yadira Rocio, I hope that the information I provided is helpful. It can be agonizing having to wait for news, but all shall be revealed in due time. I'll be thinking happy thoughts and sending pixie dust in the hopes that we get some news soon. In the meantime, please come back to see us with any other questions you might have. Here's wishing you a frighteningly fantastic time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
