I’m going to Disneyland in April then to Disney World in June, if I bye a Magicband + at Disneyland will I be able to use that same band at Disney World?

    Hi there, Cheryl!

I'd like to welcome you to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your vacation planning question. I'm thrilled to learn you have visits to both Walt Disney World Resort AND Disneyland Resort lined up for early 2023! Cheryl, you're in for a truly magical year because there are enchanting happenings on both coasts in 2023, from the long-awaited return of Happily Ever After at Walt Disney World Resort to the momentous Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort.

When MagicBand+ debuted at Disneyland Resort last year, it unlocked a whole new world of magic for theme park Guests. From enabling touchless entry to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and allowing Disney PhotoPass image linking to enhancing the nighttime spectacular viewing experience, MagicBand+ adds an extra sprinkling of pixie dust to any Disneyland Resort vacation! Cheryl, the best part about MagicBand+ is that Guests can use their bands at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. That means you can choose your favorite design during your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth and use that same MagicBand+ during your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth a few months later!

Cheryl, I have a few recommendations on setting up and using your new MagicBand+. Once you pick out and purchase your band, I encourage you to set up your new band in the Disneyland mobile app. This will link your MagicBand+ to your Disney account and allow you to access all that your band has to offer! Next, I recommend fully charging your MagicBand+ before you use it for the first time. (I like to fully charge my band each night before a day in the theme parks!) Finally, you can customize your MagicBand+ experience using the Disneyland mobile app to set your personalized light-up theme - how fun is that!?

I hope this information is useful to you as you continue to plan back-to-back magical vacations, Cheryl. I'm wishing you a wonderful time full of memories made on both coasts! If you have any other planning questions, please feel free to stop back by planDisney again anytime - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
