Hi! I'm going to Disney World with a 3 year old and my spouse. Obviously, she would not be riding something like Tower of Terror. Could I book a lightning lane, ride by myself, then utilize rider swap and sit out with my toddler while my husband rides?

Hey there, Lindsey, and welcome to planDisney!

September is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. When else can you get summer weather vibes, spooky season decor, and slightly lower crowds all at one time? With your little family in tow, of course, riding some of the more intense attractions can be a bit tricky. But you've got just the right idea to use the Rider Switch Service.

You're right on target with your plan to tackle Twilight Zone Tower of Terror by yourself first, while your husband waits with your little one. He would then be able to swap places with you, ride to the tip top, and then ... drop. Just be sure to speak with the Cast Member at the front of the ride. Since you're planning to use Lightning Lane Multi Pass, it's important to note that both riders should have a Lightning Lane for this attraction. If only you have one, you'll be the only one able to ride without waiting in the standby queue.

Lindsey, I hope I've been able to help you today. When you leave Tower of Terror, be sure to get that baby a sweet treat from Hollywood Scoops for doing all that waiting. If you have any other questions, come back and see me

    Happy planning!
