Hi, I’m going to Disney World for 1st time in September. We’re going to be on the Disney Dining Plan, If we’re using our quick service credit at our resort can we get a desert instead of a drink as we’ll have our refillable mug to use for drinks. Thanks

    Hi Hannah!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Disney Dining Plan is something I enjoy using whenever I visit Walt Disney World, but there are a few things to know about each plan.   When using the Disney Dining Plan you will receive, per guest, per each night of stay, one Quick-Service Meal (one entree, and one drink); one Table-Service Meal (one entree, one dessert - for lunch/dinner only - and one drink); two Snacks and a Refillable Drink Mug which can be refilled at Beverage Stations across all the Walt Disney World Resort hotels.  The entitlements were recently upgraded to include an extra Snack credit each day which can be used to add a dessert option to your Quick-Service Meal if you wish. I usually choose a bottle of water as my drink option, which I can take to the parks later, while still using my Refillable Drink Mug with my meal.  It's also worth knowing that your Disney Dining Plan can be used from the time you check-in on your arrival day, until midnight on your day of departure, and you can use your dining credits in any way you please, maybe more on one day, and less on another, and to keep track of how many entitlements you have left you can ask for a print-out of your Dining Plan at the Front Desk of your Resort hotel, or ask your server at any meal.

It will soon be time to make your dining reservations!  These can be made 180 days in advance, online or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions about your magical holiday to Walt Disney World.  We will be happy to help.
