    I'm going to Disney World this thanksgiving, and I was wondering if Rivers of Light will be open at Animal Kingdom, and will the theme of Animal Kingdom at night be there that week?

    Hi Wesley! My family is also vacationing at Walt Disney World this Thanksgiving and we are excited about some of the new things in the parks.

    We are disappointed that the Rivers of Light show in the Animal Kingdom park is not going to be ready until possibly as late as late spring of 2017. Definite dates have not been published but it is apparent that it won't be this year. Check the day that you were planning on being at the Animal Kingdom to see when the park will close on that day. That will determine if there will be anything happening after dark. I know there will be nothing on the day we are visiting and from what I have been told is that there will not be any late night experiences. I enjoyed the jungle book show and the night safari but they did not continue those things after the summer months. Hopefully we will see a reinvented Animal Kingdom park when Rivers of Light returns in 2017!
