Hi Andy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
OK, can we first talk about how jealous I am right now? You are currently enjoying your vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth! On top of that, you've already reserved your next visit. You're living the good life, Andy!
Upgrading your Walt Disney World tickets to an Annual Pass is an excellent idea since you know you will be returning within the next year.
Tickets can be upgraded as long as there is at least one day left on your tickets and it is within 14 days of first use. In other words, you will need to upgrade them before or on your last day visiting the theme parks, not after. You will just have to pay the difference in price from your current tickets and the Annual Pass and the Cast Member assisting you in the upgrade can let you know the exact price difference based on the current cost of Annual Passes.
To upgrade to an
Annual Pass, visit any theme park ticket window or Guest Relations. The Cast Member there can let you know the exact cost and take care of the upgrade for you. And yes, you should be able to use your Disney gift card for the transaction! Not only will this end up saving you money on tickets next year, but the
discounts that you get as an Annual Passholder on select dining, merchandise and
PhotoPass picture downloads adds to the value!
Enjoy the rest of your trip, Andy! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
