Hi, I’m going to Disney World this summer with my extended family, we are all staying offsite at an AirBnB, if I buy memory maker would they all still be able to use it with their MagicBands or would my MagicBand need to be scanned for their pictures?

Hiya, Brian! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by today to ask this great question about your upcoming vacation! It sounds like you're planning a fun trip with your extended family - this is something I have lots of experience with, and I am excited to help you navigate this part of the planning process!

When you're visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a group of any size, you want to be sure that you're connected with everyone in your party through the Family & Friends feature of the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This will allow you to plan together - everything from Advance Dining Reservations to Genie+ Lightning Lane selections.

When you're connected with another guest via Family & Friends, you'll be able to see their Disney PhotoPass Service photos, including ones taken by Cast Members at locations like Cinderella Castle and when meeting Characters, and photos that are captured on rides like TRON: Lightcycle / Run. All they need to do is set their permissions to allow you to view their photos, scan their MagicBand when the photos are taken (usually only one person per group needs to scan for the whole group). With Memory Maker, you'll be able to see all of the photos for everyone in your party without a watermark, and you'll have unlimited downloads for them, for up to 25 of your friends. Those who do not purchase Memory Maker will see a watermark on their photos, with the exception of photos that were captured during attractions for which they used a Genie+ Lightning Lane selection - those photos are included with Genie+ Service!

Brian, when you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with a large group, my top tip is to plan one thing every day that you can do together, like a great meal at a table service restaurant like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or a fun experience like the Wild Africa Trek. There are tons of great ideas for special activities in the Enchanting Extras Collection!

I hope this has been helpful for you, and I invite you to stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you continue the exciting countdown to your vacation. If you'd like recommendations for great meals and unforgettable experiences, I'm here to help!

    See you real soon!
