I'm going to Disney World next year in July with a friend. In attempt to save-- how much should I plan to save for food? We want to eat comfortably, however we don't want to spend tons either.

It will depend on your dining plans. Will you eat at least one table service meal per day? All counter service meals?

I budget my family's meals by looking at the menus at www.allearsnet.com. If you go to the dining section, you'll see many menus for the restaurants on WDW property.

First plan on which park you will visit each day. Will you have a granola bar in your room for breakfast, a sit down meal or a meal on the go from the food court? If you structure your days and estimate where you'll be eating, you can get a pretty good feel for your meal expenses.

Don't forget to budget for a DoleWhip or Mickey Ice Cream Bar. It's the little expenses that seem to wreak havoc on the proposed budget! So I always budget for these little incidentals too!
