I'm going to Disney World with my Mom, brother (16), Aunt, and two cousins (14 & 17) and I was wondering if we should stay at Port Orleans Riverside, or Port Orleans French Quarter? (we're renting two rooms).

    Hi Miranda!

The great thing about these sister Resorts, Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter, is that they are so close you can enjoy the decor and benefits of each one no matter which one your family keeps rooms in.

My family chose to stay at PO French Quarter 2 years ago and we loved it. French Quarter has a lively decor that everyone in our group liked. The food court where we had breakfast was large enough that our large group didn't have to wait for a table big enough to fit all of us each morning.

Because we were able to use the pools at either resort during our stay, for us it came down to decor. French Quarter has that fun Mardi Gras & New Orleans feel to it, while Riverside feels like the old rural south, complete with plantations and a bayou.  They are both beautifully landscaped, the best in Disney in my little ole opinion, and within walking distance from each other! Disney describes walking down the path from Riverside to French Quarter as going from the old south country side to the big city.

Also, you'll have the huge benefit of taking that boat ride to Downtown Disney at either Resort!

I hope you have a wonderful time at the Port Orleans Resorts!
