Hi Montana! Welcome to planDisney!
Just a short month away from the magic that awaits you on your Walt Disney World Resort stay! Being able to spend over ten days enjoying the parks, resorts, and any other activities you may have planned sounds like a dream! The
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing and many experiences are happening all over to help commemorate the grand event.
Beacons of Magic is one of these experiences that is fascinating to see up close. Each of the icons at the four theme parks are lit up in different ways.
Cinderella Castle shines with sparkles of pixie dust, the Tree of Life glows with colorful lights, and Hollywood Tower Hotel is shimmering in EARidescence! The showstopper by far is Spaceship Earth over at
EPCOT. The lighting element that engulfs the entire structure is spectacular to see in person. About every 15 minutes when the sun goes down, a new sequence will begin for the next group of Guests that happen to be passing by. The current inspiration is set to the song ”Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas.
Since Beacons of Magic was introduced as a way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Celebration, I doubt that Walt Disney World will end these experiences anytime before the Celebration concludes. I have a great feeling that you will be able to view these showings each night you visit the parks. Make sure to get close to Spaceship Earth to get the full experience of the sounds and sights.
In addition to this, Walt Disney World has also introduced two new nighttime spectaculars at both the
Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT.
Disney Enchantment is full of colorful projections, booming fireworks, and a playful musical soundtrack. The projections can be seen on Cinderella Castle and up and down Main Street, U.S.A.
Harmonious is set at the center of the World Showcase Lagoon and can be viewed from any of the countries. The projections over the water mixed with the incredible fireworks and inspirational music make for one of the best shows I have ever seen. I was truly moved when watching it and can't wait for you to get a chance to see it yourself.
Montana, I hope you have an amazing time being a part of the World's Most Magical Celebration!
See ya real soon!
