If you have your own
My Disney Experience mobile app account, you can definitely just purchase
Disney Genie+ for yourself! Only if you were a part of the group and someone else was managing your plans (i.e. you didn’t have an account) would they need to book it for you or vice versa.
After 12 a.m. on the day you’re booking Disney Genie+, you’ll be able to purchase the Service. Just make sure to only select your name when you’re making the purchase. Remember, you'll need a
Theme Park Reservation for the park you're hoping to get a Lightning Lane for. Then, at 7:00 a.m. that day you’ll be able to book your first
Lightning Lane. Two hours after you book or once you use that Lightning Lane (whichever comes first), you’ll be able to book another. If you’re staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you’ll also be able to purchase an
Individual Lightning Lane at 7:00 a.m. If you aren’t staying at one of those hotels, no worries, you can purchase once the Theme Parks are open!
If the other members of your party are interested in booking Genie+, they can purchase it on their My Disney Experience apps and then when you book yours, you should also see their names since their accounts are linked to you. If you need help with Genie+ in the Parks, definitely connect with the
Guest Experience Team, just look for the blue umbrella!
