Yes, you can do both! I am in the same situation as you (as an International Guest - I am from the UK) and have my
MagicBands delivered to my Disney Resort hotel. We can also choose to select
online check-in, or check-in at the Front Desk when we arrive. We do have to report to the Front Desk to collect our MagicBand order, and in my experience it has never been a lengthy process to check-in at the Front Desk, but it's your choice how you check-in. Online check-in gives you the opportunity to make a general room location request, and when your room is ready you should receive notification, and details of your room number, but before heading to your room, you will need to collect your MagicBand which also acts as a room key. Normal check-in time is 3.00pm, but if you are intending to arrive early and spend some time at the parks before you have access to your room, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services at your Disney Resort hotel, where it will be stored safely and securely for you until you need it.
