I'm going to be in Disney World with my family for 16 days but only have a 10 day park ticket. Is it possible to extend my park ticket a few more days? If not, what are my options?

Hi there, Jackie! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for your visit!

How exciting that you’ll soon be making an extended visit to Walt Disney World! I cannot imagine the fun and excitement of visiting a Disney Theme Park for 16 days in a row! However, there are a few options that I think you may want to consider when it comes to this trip. First, I need to mention that a 10-day Theme Park Ticket is the longest Ticket type available. That being said, a 10-day Standard Theme Park Ticket is valid for 14 days after the first use date! So, in theory, you could plan your visit for 10 Park days among your 16! There are many other ways to fill the intervening days, and many families report that rest days do them a lot of good, especially during long vacations such as the one you’re planning! Plus, there’s always the option of visiting a Disney Water Park, weather permitting, spending time at Disney Springs, or playing a round or two of golf at one of the amazing Disney golf courses! The possibilities are endless! If you truly feel that you will need more than 10 Theme Park Days, I urge you to consider becoming an Annual Passholder! Anytime before your last day of Ticket use (or even before your trip), you can apply the value of your existing Ticket toward the purchase of an Annual Pass! This way, you can not only enter the Theme Parks any day you wish (with a valid Park Pass Reservation), but you can also enjoy Annual Passholder benefits!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
