Hello! I’m going to Disney World in December with my family. I have always wanted to see the Kiss Goodnight - can you tell me if this is still happening, and is it every night? Thank you!

Hey Howdy Hey Elaine and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about the mysterious Kiss Goodnight in Magic Kingdom. This event, when able to catch it, is such a nice touch at the end of your day in Magic Kingdom to leave with one final dose of Magic from the parks. I will be happy to provide you with as much information as I have on the matter to better help you plan your upcoming holiday later this year.

The big thing about the Kiss Goonight in Magic Kingdom is information, or should I say, the lack thereof. We know it happens in Magic Kingdom on Cinderella Castle at the end of the night as the park is closing, it happens on most nights randomly and it has made its way back into the parks since the return of nighttime shows. Mums the word at Disney on much else. Many of the details that surround this event are unknown but I will say, if you look ahead at the calendar and park hours, you might get a slight glimpse of when it is more likely to take place.

When you are looking at the Calander, your chances of seeing the Kiss Goodnight will be increased if you visit Magic Kingdom on the nights without special events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This show usually takes place after the park officially closes and many Guests are making their way to the parking lot or various transportation means out of the park. As far as specific times, unfortunately, that is about all I have for you. Disney is very vague when it comes to any details on this event. It may take place on most nights and times are not consistent. If you tend to linger around the hub in front of Cinderella Castle after Disney Enchantment nighttime firework show, you will have the best chance to experience this event. A little popcorn, drink, or a snack from Casey's Corner while sitting in the rose gardens is a very nice way to pass some time while you wait for the show!

Sorry I could not be more precise with a guarantee of seeing this show. Disney just does not give much information about this other than that. Best of luck on your evenings in Magic Kingdom as I hope you will have the chance to experience the infamous Kiss Goodnight! Please stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
