Hi there, Joshua! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney. Attending a
Beverage Tasting Seminar is one of my favorite activities on Disney Cruise Line. I love the champagne tastings but have also enjoyed the bourbon and rum tastings.
The type of seminars offered and location can vary from sailing to sailing. You will know what is available during your
Disney Treasure cruise in August once your
advance booking window opens. The window is based on your
Castaway Club membership level, and you must be paid in full in order to complete your booking. You will find the actual date for your advance booking window under "My Reservations":
- Pearl Castaway Club Member: 123 days prior to sail date
- Platinum Castaway Club Member: 120 days prior to sail date
- Gold Castaway Club Member: 105 days prior to sail date
- Silver Castaway Club Member: 90 days prior to sail date
- First Time Guests: 75 days prior to sail date
If the one you want is booked by the time your advance booking window opens, continue to check back because someone may cancel their reservation. You can also check availability once you are onboard in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or stop by
Guest Services on Deck 4 Midship.
During the seminar, you will sample a few different bourbons and maybe a cocktail that contains bourbon. The selection is up to the discretion of the Disney Cruise Line beverage team member who is leading the seminar. The cost is usually around $100 for Reserve Whiskey Bourbon Tasting, but the price is subject to change at any time. Even if they do not have this tasting experience, I hope you find another one that you enjoy. If not, I suggest visiting
The Rose,
Cove Café, or another one of the bars to order your favorite bourbon.
Joshua, if you have any other questions, sail back to
planDisney for answers. We are happy to help you get ready for your upcoming cruise on the Disney Treasure.
Cheers!
