I’m a Disney+ subscriber. Is there a way mirror from my iPhone to a TV (or log it to watch) Disney+ at the Disneyland Hotel? (I heard they recently renovated.)

    Hi Amanda!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your Disneyland Resort Hotel planning question our way!

I think you're on the right track by asking about the TV situation in your guest room. Sometimes you just need a little bit of time to rest and relax in the middle of a Disney day. And there's no better way to do that than by watching Mickey and his pals on Disney+ while you're staying next to the magic of Mickey's original house, Disneyland Park!

You are absolutely correct, the Disneyland Hotel recently did complete some light renovations and modifications to its guest rooms, including brand new carpeting and elevated platform beds so there is more room to store your luggage (and souvenEARs) out of the way. It does not look like the televisions have been upgraded to the super-fancy sets that auto-magically include Disney+ and have an interactive interface capable of connecting a device like at two of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. You might be able to physically connect a unit (your laptop, a streaming device, etc) to the tv with a cord, but that does mean more stuff to bring and possibly forget. (Ask my husband how many firesticks I've left behind over the years. Ooof!)

I will say that the programming that is available around the clock is extensive and pretty varied, including a 24/7 channel dedicated to just Mickey Mouse shorts cartoons. (The same ones found on Disney+.) You'll also find familiar Disney cable channels like Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform as well as others from non-Disney brands and even local stations. But I'm confident that you'll find plenty to keep yourself and your family entertained, Amanda. Did you know that your hotel is steps away from the Downtown Disney District, which has over two dozen shops and restaurants, most of which are open until 10:00 P.M. on weekdays and as late as Midnight on weekends? And don't forget to pack your swim gear - you do NOT want to miss the famous Monorail slides at the E Ticket pool!

I hope this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Amanda. And if you have any more questions for us, We're All Ears!
