Hi Bill,
Nice to hear from you again! Since its expansion and the addition of the Gran Destino Tower, the
Coronado Springs resort has even more tasty options for food and drink to offer. Those include
Three Bridges Bar & Grill,
Barcelona Lounge,
Dahlia Lounge and
Toledo -- Tapas, Steak & Seafood.
Like you, I had seen an announcement about a sangria tasting at the resort, but I didn't remember details. So thanks for reminding me that I meant to check it out myself. I found the information on the
Disney Parks Blog. Here's the scoop, according to a recent posting there: Sangria University, taught by sangria sommeliers, will teach you to create your own version of sangria at
Three Bridges Bar & Grill. (The new Three Bridges sits in the middle of the lake in the center of the resort. My husband and I recently had a delightful, delicious waterfront dinner there and are eager to return.)
During the hour-long session, according to the blog, you will learn about the history of sangria and sample four varieties sold in the restaurant before making your own. Current hours are 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and the listed price is $45 per guest, though both the schedule and the cost are subject to change. Reservations can be made by calling 407.939.1004.
I've done similar sessions during the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and aboard several Disney Cruise Line ships. We always have a good time and will add Sangria University to our list of experiences to try. Since the Food & Wine Festival will be going on during your visit, you also may want to peruse the schedule of Beverage Seminars when it becomes available.
Thanks, Bill, for your question. Please check in again whenever we can help you with information to make your Walt Disney World vacation even more magical. Cheers!
Wilma
