I’m going to Disney Orlando in February with my sister in law and three children aged 10, 9, 6. We have a fast pass scheduled for the roarin Aerosmith coaster. Do you think it will be too scary/ fast for the kids??

Hi, Heather!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon!  With all that there is to see and do at the Most Magical Place on Earth, there is something to appeal to everyone.  My kiddos are thrill-seekers, and there isn't a theme park attraction that they won't take on.  In fact, my daughter has been dropping in at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror since she was tall enough to ride at the age of 4.  However, what the young Mouseketeers in your family will enjoy really depends on their individual personalities.

As I mentioned, my kids, who are currently 13 and 11 years old, are big fans of thrill rides.  They love Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith!  On this attraction, you will hop into a super-stretch limo for a ride along the darkened freeways of Los Angeles.  A rockin' soundtrack from Aerosmith plays as you race to make it to the concert in time.  This high-speed, indoor roller coaster experience takes place in the dark, and the coaster does go upside down three times.  Guests wishing to experience this attraction must be at least 48 inches tall.

If you are unsure if your children will enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, or any other attraction, I recommend doing a bit of internet resEARch.  You can read about the various attractions on the Walt Disney World website.  Also, if you do a quick Google or YouTube search for a ride video of an attraction, you may find this helpful in letting your kids know what to expect and determining what they would be comfortable riding.

If you and the children decide that Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith might be a bit too intense, no worries.  It's easy to modify your FastPass+ selections online or using your My Disney Experience mobile app.  Also, if there is an attraction that some members of your party wish to experience, but one or more of the children either do not wish to ride or do not meet the height requirement, be sure to speak to a Cast Member at the attraction entrance about using the Rider Switch Service.
