I'm so excited-traveling to Disney this March!!! We have 2 daughters, 7 and 11 yrs old. Our older daughter is non-ambulatory and uses a wheelchair. Would you please explain how the guest disability passes and the regular fast passes work? Thank you

    Hello, Vincent!

Let the countdown to your March vacation begin! I am sure that your family will have a magical time experiencing attractions, taking photos and enjoying plenty of Dole Whips and Mickey Mouse Premium Ice Cream Bars!

My son has a limited time that he can enjoy the theme parks before he becomes overstimulated, tired and just grumpy. My family finds that using the Disability Access Service (DAS) in tandem with FastPass+ system helps to maximize our time in the theme parks. First, I make a "must-do" list for each theme park to help me schedule our FastPass+ selections prior to our arrival. I try to schedule experiences that usually have long wait times or are near each other. Next, I look at our list to find other nearby experiences to use the DAS once we arrive. DAS experiences can not be pre-arranged like the regular FastPass+. We have a plan ready once we arrive at the theme park. This example of how our family used the DAS and FastPass+ for a morning at the Magic Kingdom gives a little more detail.

The other thing to note is that most attraction queues are wheelchair friendly. We often arrive as soon as the theme parks open, so we have little to no wait on many of our favorite attractions. We tend to use the DAS and FastPass+ for later in the morning or evening when lines are longer. If you decide to use a regular queue to experience an interactive queue such as Haunted Mansion, you absolutely can. My son enjoys these interactive queues almost as much as the attractions.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you further questions. I'm hEAR to help!

    Happy Planning!
