I’m going to Disney in January and my daughter has to leave 2 days before the rest of the group. Can I shorten the number of park days for her or does everyone in the room reservations have to have the same number of park days?

    Hi McKenzie!

How wonderful that you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in January! That’s such a great time to visit. You may be there during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, and if so, you’ll get to see a lot of excitement around the parks. Make sure to say congratulations to all the runners with their medals, and if you’re cheering them on, get ready for an inspiring weekend of accomplishments!

Typically, when you book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, everyone in your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room usually has the same number of park days. This is generally how the packages are structured, as they bundle the resort stay and park tickets together. Sometimes there are ways to tailor your trip depending on the specifics of your package, and the best way to explore this is by reaching out directly to the Walt Disney World Resort reservations team. They can check your booking and provide the most accurate guidance for your family’s unique plans.

While you’re there, be sure to take in some of the winter magic! January can be a fantastic time to visit the parks, with cooler weather and often smaller crowds compared to the holiday season. If the timing is right, you may be there for the beginning of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. This typically kicks off in mid-January with beautiful art, live performances, and fun food options.

Wishing you and your family a magical and unforgettable trip!
