    I'm going to Disney in December and was hoping to be there when they tape specials for Christmas. Is this a well kept secret or is there a schedule when artists come or do you just have to luck out and be at the right place at the right time?

    Celebrating the Holiday Season at Walt Disney World is certainly a festive experience. I have told my own family that I need to head to Disney every December to get myself into the spirit as I enjoy so many of the events and activities that Disney provides for the guest experience.

    Taping for the Christmas parade used to be a regular pattern of taping around the first or second weekend
    in December. But the last few years things have changed and now it is almost impossible to know when and actually where they will tape. A lot last year was taped in Disneyland and what was done in Walt Disney World was done in November.

    So you are right in saying it is now an experience you can find if you are in the right place at the right time. I certainly wouldn't worry about booking a trip hoping to be around for it. It adds a lot of last minute crowds to the parks and the chance to even really see any special artist performing is slim. Instead enjoy your planned vacation and be sure and try to take in Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the beautiful Candlelight Processional.
