I'm going to Disney in December and chose the deluxe dining plan. Is it worth using two credits for in room dining for my wife and I, or should I use it for a signature restaurant? We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge for 7 days.

My answer would be an emphatic no, Bill!  Disney has so many fantastic signature restaurants (my favorites of which are Jiko, California Grill, and Artist Point) that opting to "spend" those two credits on in room dining seems like a waste to me.  Of course, I am the kind of girl who enjoys getting dressed up and going out with my husband to be spoiled with amazing service and, somehow, eating in the boring old room just doesn't compare.  To me, part of the experience is in the ambiance.  It's in sipping a glass of wine while enjoying a gorgeous view.  It's in walking in on my husband's arm.  It's in the lighting and music and opportunity to try something new on the server's recommendation.

How about you compromise?  You could technically go out by just heading downstairs to Artist Point, but still you'll be so close to "home" that all you have to do is head up to your room and change into your comfy PJ's after your meal.  Fair enough, right?  Enjoy!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
