Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Steven!
I have to tell you a story about the first time my family used the
Disney Dining Plan. Since I'm a real Type-A planner, I'd meticulously mapped out where we were going to use all of our Dining Plan credits, even making advanced dining reservations 180 days before our arrival date. On the last day of our vacation, my husband was getting breakfast for our family and he was pretty stunned when he looked at the receipt and saw that we still had Dining Plan credits left to use. We thought that we had used all of them and we couldn't figure out where we had gone wrong, until it clicked in that we thought that we had the Dining Plan for each day of our theme park tickets, when in fact guests are allocated credits for each night of their stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. In your specific case, if you have 14 days of theme park tickets but you are staying at a Resort Hotel for 15 nights, you will have 15 days worth of Dining Plan credits to use. If you're using the middle tier of the Dining Plan, the
Disney Dining Plan, that's 15 Quick-Service credits, 15 Table-Service credits, and 30 Snack credits available for each person to use over the length of your stay!
With all those credits to use, I want to share a few of my favorite places to spend them. For a snack that's out of this world, try the pod-shaped Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse at
Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Try combining two Table-Service credits to enjoy a delicious meal at my favorite signature restaurant:
California Grill.
Have a magical day, Steven!
