I'm going on a Disney Cruise next year and my daughter will be just over one. Are all the bars 18+? Can I bring her with to grab a drink and leave? Thanks!

Hello, Alexandra. Welcome to our small world here at planDisney, where we love helping Guests plan magical Disney vacations of every size! I'm so excited to answer your question today.

As the song reminds us, "it’s a world of laughter, a world of tears," and Disney Cruise Line truly offers spaces for every kind of vacation moment. Many of the lounges on the ships allow Guests under the age of 18 during the day and then become 18+ in the evening. In fact, some even have activities for the whole family to enjoy during daytime hours. That said, some spaces are always 18+, so you'll want to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator mobile app or ask a Cast Member. They'll be able to let you know definitively and offer alternative suggestions if the answer is no.

And when you want some adult time, you can look into booking time for your daughter to stay in the "it's a small world" nursery. This imaginatively designed and expertly staffed nursery will provide top-notch care for your little one while you go out and enjoy whatever it is you'd like to enjoy. Whether that's a themed lounge like the Haunted Mansion Parlor, an adults-only premium dinner somewhere like Palo or Palo Steakhouse, or a treatment at Senses Spa & Salon, you may want to treat yourself for being the best mother ever! And if you ask me, a relaxing drink, a little peace and quiet, and knowing your little one is being cared for sounds like "a small world after all" for parents on vacation!

Alexandra, I wish you and your daughter an incredible cruise filled with laughter, sun, and moments you'll never forget. After all, "there’s so much that we share that it’s time we’re aware," and some of the very best Disney Cruise Line memories are the ones families experience together. I'll be here if you have any other questions!

The love we give makes us humankind,
    Matt
