Hiya, Alejandra! Welcome to planDisney!
In my opinion, there’s no better place to celebrate a birthday than at
The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! I’m happy to help brainstorm some ways to make your birthday extra special, Alejandra. Let’s hop to it!
Walt Disney World Resort is massive, and there is so much to see and do. It can be hard to narrow down a 1-day itinerary, but I’ll do my best! I recommend starting your day at EPCOT. In my opinion, the best current attraction at Walt Disney World is
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. If you are at the park early, you can take advantage of some lower wait times. Not far from here is Test Track. It received a reimagining last summer. I recommend heading there next if you haven’t yet experienced it!
Once you’ve made your way into the World Showcase, you can experience Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Both are great attractions that are fun for Guests of all ages. While you’re in the France pavilion,
L’Artisan des Glaces is the perfect place to stop for a cold sweet treat on a hot day. My favorite flavor is the Caramel Fleur de Sel ice cream. It's sweet with just a hint of saltiness. It’s the best of both worlds! And no birthday is complete without cake. The
Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk has decadent cake slices that are definitely shareable. This is just a short walk from the International Gateway entrance, located between the France and UK pavilions.
If you’ve got Park Hopper tickets, from here you can head to Magic Kingdom Park. There’s just something extra magical about seeing Cinderella Castle on your birthday. There are several classic attractions here, as well as some thrills. My personal favorites are Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and TRON / Lightcycle Run. Since you’ll be in the Magic Kingdom area, I recommend dinner at
California Grill. This is a signature restaurant on the 15th floor of
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It has a phenomenal menu with sweeping views of Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon. The best part is that the restaurant pipes in the music from
Happily Ever After during the fireworks. If your reservation doesn't coincide with the fireworks, don’t worry! If you dined earlier in the evening, you could return to the observation deck during fireworks. Simply show your same-day receipt at the check-in podium, which is located on the second floor. What a great way to wrap up the evening!
I always recommend showing off that you’ll be celebrating your birthday with a celebration button! Simply visit Guest Relations where you’ll receive a complimentary birthday celebration button.
I hope you’ve found this helpful, Alejandra! I wish you the happiest of birthdays at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to bring them to us at
planDisney. We’re always happy to help!
See you real soon!
